Nobody inspects the framing once the drywall is up. What people see for the next twenty years is the casing around the door, the mitre on the crown, the reveal on the baseboard, and whether the built-in looks like it belongs in the room or like it was ordered from a catalogue.
Houses are not square. Walls bow, floors slope, and corners are rarely ninety degrees. Good finish work is mostly the patience to scribe to what is actually there instead of forcing a straight piece of stock against a crooked wall and filling the gap with caulk.

Usually yes. Older homes often have profiles no longer stocked, in which case we either source the closest match or have a knife ground to reproduce the original. We will tell you up front which it will be.
We can finish millwork in the shop before installation, which gives a better result than brushing it on the wall. On-site painting we coordinate with our painters as part of the project.
Yes. Plenty of our finish carpentry jobs are standalone — a built-in, a feature wall, a set of doors — rather than part of a full renovation.
A single unit is typically a few days on site once it is built. Larger storage walls and fireplace surrounds run a week or two, plus shop time beforehand.
